About
Emma Leivesley
Emma Leivesley bridges the worlds of healthcare and mental wellbeing, bringing unique insight to doctor burnout. Having witnessed firsthand the pressures facing medical professionals, she combines frontline experience with expertise in mental health, neuroscience, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
In the past year, Emma has helped doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals improve their work-life balance and job satisfaction and find more joy in their lives. She has worked with clients using a combination of one-to-one and individual coaching. Most of her clients have been GPs and foundation year doctors.
Before coaching, she worked for the NHS as a CBT therapist in general practice. She has worked with many high-functioning professionals as a hypnotherapist in her private practice.
Emma witnessed her parents, both healthcare professionals, experience workplace stress. She saw her colleagues struggling and wanted to do something to help. It was when Emma saw the suicide statistics for doctors that she realised that she had to write this book.
Emma believes that the well-being of healthcare professionals needs to be a priority, and the culture needs to change. She invites you to be part of that important mission.
